STORIES / WORKING SCENE
THE LAST TIMETABLE
Two fragments. One route. No reliable departure.

PROPOSED STORY / 03
An experimental archive narrative developing Transit Collapse’s unreliable timetable. The two fragments and all wording below are invented for review. They do not establish the event’s chronology or cause.
FRAGMENT A
A narrow strip of paper lists six stops. Beside the final stop someone has written: “Arrived. Doors remained closed.” The line above it has been rubbed until the paper is almost transparent.
FRAGMENT B
A second strip lists the same six stops in reverse. At the beginning, in another hand: “Never departed.” There is no date. A crease cuts through both the first stop and the last.
THE COMPARISON
Place the strips beside one another. Their folds align; their accounts do not. Turn one over. On its back is a drawing of an empty platform. In the drawing, two strips of paper lie on a bench.
THE MISSING ENTRY
The archive leaves a space between the fragments. Nothing fills it. Caption: “These records have been placed together. Their relationship remains unknown.” End of fragment.
DRAWING SEQUENCE
Five proposed images: first strip; second strip; aligned creases; platform drawing on the reverse; the blank space between records. Use invented illegible station lettering until real names are approved.
EDITORIAL CHOICES
Confirm whether recursive imagery fits ROBOBOP. Do not assign either fragment an Observed or Reported status until the author and source within the fiction have been chosen.
