STORIES / WORKING SCENE
BENEATH THE PLATFORMS
A light under the railway. Someone is still at work.

PROPOSED STORY / 01
This scene develops the existing Lower City workshops and Nilo’s proposed role as an observer. All actions, dialogue and objects introduced in this story are new proposals. Nilo’s appearance and identity remain open.
THE WAY THROUGH
Nilo follows the light beneath the platforms. Above, a length of rail crosses the gap between two buildings. Below, a doorway stands open just far enough to show a workbench. Something small moves in the light; then it is still.
THE BENCH
A lamp points at an unfinished repair. Beside it lies a little wheel, polished smooth on one side. Nilo waits at the doorway. From inside comes a voice: “You can come in. Just don’t put anything where you found it.”
THE RETURN
Nilo looks again. Every tool has an outline on the wall, but none is hanging inside its own outline. The small wheel turns once. Nothing touches it. The voice says, “That one keeps coming back.”
THE LAST FRAME
Nilo steps inside. Behind the bench, another doorway opens onto darkness. The wheel rolls toward it and stops at the threshold. In the final image, Nilo and the wheel face the same opening. End of scene.
DRAWING SEQUENCE
Six proposed frames: railway silhouette; doorway and waiting figure; close view of the workbench; mismatched tool outlines; the wheel moving; two silhouettes facing the second doorway. Keep Nilo’s face and body design provisional. No finished comic artwork is supplied yet.
EDITORIAL CHOICES
Approve or revise the returning wheel, the unnamed worker and dialogue before treating them as canon. This scene does not identify the worker as Repair Guild or establish the wheel as a separate archive object.
